Bio

Britt has served as Portfolio Manager with Southport Capital since 2013. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Prior to joining Southport Capital, Britt was a Financial Advisor with Bank of America Investments and Edward Jones. Britt has 16 years of investment experience.

Britt and his wife Kristie have three children and a grandson. Outside of work Britt has coached various girls basketball teams but now enjoys attending his daughter’s high school basketball games.

Bio

Mary Brim joined Southport Capital in March of 2013. Mary received her accounting degree in 1982 from Kings College in Charlotte, North Carolina. She brings to Southport Capital over three decades of accounting experience. She has 10 years of experience in financial services, taking care of all administrative client needs.

Prior to joining the Southport Capital team, Mary worked in the Automotive Parts and service industry for 27 years. Mary also worked as an administrative assistant for HD Vest for 7 years and as a tax preparer with H & R Block for 7 years. She has been married to her husband Shane for 15 years and has two children. She enjoys playing golf, traveling and spending time with her family.

Bio

Penny joined Southport Capital in 2012 and brings over two decades of financial service experience to the team. Penny attended UNC-Greensboro and Surry Community College, earning a degree in Accounting. Prior to joining Southport, she worked with an Independent Representative of H.D. Vest Investment Services. Penny started her career performing administrative duties and within a couple of years, she became a licensed Investment Representative.

Before her start in financial services, Penny prepared taxes for H&R Block and also worked as a bookkeeper for small businesses in the Mount Airy area. She currently resides in Mount Airy, North Carolina with her husband Ray. They have two children and two grandchildren. Outside of work, Penny enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and riding motorcycles.
